Yoga is often misunderstood and people have the wrong idea of yoga from social media. It is not a religion, it is not only about meditation or trying to get into pretzel-like positions. Yoga is about understanding how the body works.


Practicing Yoga is a wonderful way to discipline and pamper both the mind and body. A relaxed mind will lead to a relaxed body, which leads to a healthy and disease free body.


The human body is amazing as it has the ability to heal itself and keeping the body and mind healthy will guarantee many years of health. Once we learn what our body needs, yoga becomes a way of life.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa means the linking of body movement with breath and Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa yoga movements are smooth flowing and almost dance-like, and is sometimes referred to as Vinyasa Flow Yoga.

Aerial Yoga

Aerial Yoga is Hatha yoga done in a hammock. The body is supported by the hammock, making some poses easier to accomplish and offering additional resistance in other poses. The spine is decompressed during inversion poses allowing you to walk tall after each class. Previous yoga experience is not essential.

"I took my first yoga class in 2007 & left the yoga studio feeling completely relaxed in both mind & body.After 22 years in the hospitality industry, I made the decision to leave the long hours & shifts behind & become a yoga instructor. I completed my Yoga Teacher Training (200 hours) began teaching yoga full time in 2012. In 2016, a friend convinced me to try out an aerial yoga class & I was immediately hooked. I decided I wanted to teach aerial yoga as it complimented the yoga mat practice. I completed my 100 hours Aerial Yoga Teacher Training through Aerial Yoga South Africa during 2016. (YAI).

I live at the coast where I teach 8 classes a week from my home studio - mat and aerial Vinyasa flow yoga. During summer I enjoy Stand Up Paddleboard yoga to challenge my mind and my body.

The daily programme begins with yoga (on the beach or in the forest, weather permitting), followed by a delicious healthy breakfast. Explore and learn to connect with the goddesses and their energy. You will discover how to enhance their "light" energies to amplify your daily life on and off the mat. Discover the goddesses "shadow" energies that may be holding you back from being true to yourself. After lunch, the afternoons will be at your leisure - time to spend journalling, enjoying a nature or beach walk, swimming or perhaps in comtemplation.....as you need. A sunset yoga session will precede dinner and an evening at leisure.


Working with the qualities of the goddesses will take you on a journey of self-discovery. Recognise their energies within you and learn how to maximise their "light" energies and minimise their "shadow" energies. The mythology behind each of the five yoga goddesses - Durga, Kali, Lakshmi, Parvati and Saraswati - will inspire and transform you.
